FAQs
Are the letters really anonymous?
Yes. There is no way of knowing who submits each letter since they are submitted via an anonymous online form. please avoid including full names, contact details or any information that could identify you in your letter. If you do include such information, it may be removed before your letter is posted to the website.
How long does it take for a letter to appear on the site?
There is currently a large backlog on posting letters. Each letter is reviewed and proof read for spelling and grammatical errors before being posted on the site. this is to ensure that all letters are intelligible and coherent, rather than to alter their content. this process can take up to six months at particularly busy times.
why do you proof read / edit letters before they are posted?
this is to make sure all letters are readable and make grammatical sense. The content and essence of the letter will not be changed But In creating this website it was important to me that everyone is given the opportunity to write a letter and communicate their thoughts, even if they are not confident at spelling and grammar or if english is not their first language.
how many letters can I submit?
you can submit as many letters as you wish, there is no limit.
will all letters be published on the site?
Letters anonymous reserves the right to choose which letters to publish. please note that any letters containing hateful, threatening or overly offensive language will not be posted on the site.
what if I want my letter removed?
since all letters are anonymous no one should be able to identify which letter is yours. however, please think carefully before submitting your letter as I am not guaranteed to respond to requests to remove letters once they have been posted. this is due to the fact that we cannot verify that it is the original author requesting the letter be taken down.
If you have submitted a letter that you do not wish to appear on the site, please email info@lettersanonymous.com as soon as possible to request it not be published.
why do people submit letters?
