Dear... Dear Reader

Hey you, I’m so glad you decided to read this.

If you’re reading this, it’s for you. It’s for everyone and everything. For past, future and present me, for the insecure, the doubting, the trying.

I’m laying in my bed right now, it’s the beginning of a new year and this year I’ve decided I want to pull my life together. To gather up my negative thoughts and feelings, to push away unhealthy relationships, to be myself honestly and truly.

To be me.

So if you’re reading this and struggling, with whatever it is, I know. I know what it’s like to hurt and to sob till my body aches, to lie and bed and wonder if it will get any better. And I might sound like any other person, but this may stick out to you. I know it’s hard to take advice from someone you know, even if you know they’ve got your best interest in mind, so i’m here to say it.

As the great Taylor Swift once said, “never take advice from someone who’s falling apart.” So maybe you can’t trust my words, but from someone who’s fallen apart and is trying to piece herself back together,

I believe in you.

I do, I think you can do it. I know you can. So get up, drink some water, take a shower, eat some good, healthy food, and do. Do something that makes you happy, something that makes you smile or laugh. Do something good for you. Do the thing you’re scared of doing.
Just do.
Remember how to smile, to laugh, to have fun, and to feel good. You’re beautiful and strong and worthy of good things.
And I love you.

Dear reader
If it feels like a trap, you're already in one
Dear reader
Get out your map, pick somewhere and just run
Dear reader
Burn all the files, desert all your past lives
And if you don't recognize yourself
That means you did it right

- Taylor Swift

From... someone who has fallen apart
