Starling

Dear... Starling

There was once someone who loved me. More than anything.

Now lost in time, I am hoping to find you again.

As a sculpture carved from perfection, I remember every single detail of you.

But I can't still find you.

Pools of green sage fill your eyes, waterfalls of gold sewed your body. Of all humans, yours was the only face I knew like I knew the stars, the constellations.

Of stardust you’re made of, I was so mesmerized when I first saw you.

And when I last saw you. I knew.

I know you’re still there, somewhere, a place hidden behind the walls of reality. A fantasy would be to reunite with you. But I believe in fantasies.

That’s why I am still alive.

I’ve searched in all places. All faces. But none like yours.

People felt my pain. But it was impossible to be back to you.

As my tears drowned my face, the pain of my chest kept increasing from the longing pain that feels that you’re not here, makes a part of my soul die. My heart broke in tiny little pieces that can’t be rebuilt again.

Blood has come out of me while crying for you. While dying for you.

Rivers of red liquid that stained my bed. That reminded me of the last time I saw you.

I still feel your soul from time to time.

I pray to God to be able to meet you again.

To ask for the reason,

why you are still not here.
