Dear... Person Reading This
Hello. We may not know each other, but I'm 17, turning 18 early next year.
I hope that you are doing well. And if not that is okay. I get that life is hard, and we all have fights in our adventures. You have been so strong to get to wherever you are right now. You may be the same age as me or you might be 47 for all I know. But you have done absolutely amazingly to make it here.
Realising that you have made it so far is important and the fact that you have lived on this earth for how ever long is an achievement already. You are doing such an amazing job, because you're still breathing and you're still living. Even if you haven't done anything the past few days and you're lying in bed reading this or if you're just commuting to work, you're doing a great job. I know this may seem untrue from someone who you don't know. But you are doing amazingly and I'm proud of you. I'm proud of the fact you have showered or you have even done something as waking up today. As I'm writing this letter, I'm sat in college listening to music and sending my love to you.
You are not alone in the slightest and it's okay not to be ok. It's okay to be feeling depressed or angry. You are a human being and not a robot. You are a real person, and we all make mistakes, whether that's a huge one or a small one, we learn and we improve. So please, whenever you're feeling down, read this letter. You are beautiful, I know your head may say otherwise but you are. Your eyes are beautiful, your face is pretty and your smile lights up a room. And even if you don't realise this, at least take this away with you.
You are alive. You are breathing here and getting through the days. Whether your coping mechanism may be music, chatting with AI or playing video games amongst other things, you are doing awesome. So please stop hurting yourself if you are, and stop criticising yourself for not doing great on that test. All that matters is yourself. You are the most important person in your world because without you, how is your world to function? You are needed, you are cared for and you are loved. I love you, I don't care about what you have done, but I know you, the person reading this, are going to feel happy soon. Whether that's in a few months, years or even hours. You will feel joy, and I hope I can give you this joy.
Much love and adoration. You are needed and loved.
